In 2020, Chef Massimo Bottura’s world-renowned restaurant in Modena, Osteria Francescana, was awarded Michelin’s Green Star for its pioneering commitment to sustainable gastronomy, one of only 11 restaurants in Italy to receive this honour.

Bottura was born and raised in Modena and has held three Michelin stars at his hometown restaurant for over a decade, solidifying his place as one of the most influential chefs of his generation. His passion for quality ingredients as a young chef led to the creation of Villa Manodori in 1995, a line of condiments crafted from the finest ingredients and used in all of his restaurants around the world.

From their monovarietal Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil, to their flavoured 'essential oils', to their dark cherry balsamic aged in barrels made from Vignola’s famed sour cherry wood, Villa Manodori continue the Modenese tradition of crafting the world's finest cuisine.
