Based in the Northern Italian town of Cuneo, Piedmont, La Favorita Fish started making their delicious pastes and sauces just after the end of the Second World War. Today, they are making them in much the same way as they were back then—using only the finest Italian ingredients, and never with any additives or colouring agents.
Made with tomato pulp, puree and concentrate, La Favorita's tomato pesto is bursting with flavour, and made with cashew nuts to create a creamy--and vegan--versatile store cupboard favourite. Toss through Frescobaldi Tirrena Spaghetti for a classic and quick mid-week meal, use as a tomato base for homemade pizza, or dollop a spoonful on top of crostini for an easy and delicious canapé.
VEGAN & GLUTEN FREE
Once opened, pour some olive oil on top to form a seal, and keep the pesto fresh.
Ingredients: tomato 50% (pulp, puree, concentrates), olive oil, cashews, basil, pine nuts, sea salt, onion. Acidity regulator: lactic acid. Contains nuts.
