La Favorita Live
Mr and Mrs Bruno’s production unit is located in the Piedmont town of Cuneo, in the shadow of the Alps. Founded in the late 1950s, the couple originally started working with anchovies bought from the Ligurian fishermen, as well as other typical products of their region such as mushrooms and chestnuts.
The company, in their words, champions the ‘rediscovery’ of the simple foods of the Ligurian and Piedmontese people, using high-quality, fresh ingredients and excellent olive oil. This is used as a preservative, as it has been for generations, bypassing the need for any chemical additives. Produce is sourced from the local area as much as possible, and the olive oil, basil and rocket in their jars are grown on their own farm near Imperia.
La Favorita have an ever-expanding product range, and apart from the traditional sauces and pastes that we stock, their catalogue holds some more extravagant offerings made in the adjoining production unit by the Bruno's son: Strawberry and Barolo Wine Pasta, as well as a Chocolate and Chilli flavours, among others.
