Barbadillo Moscatel Sherry Vinegar 250ml

Barbadillo is a family-owned winery dating back to 1821. Bodegas Barbadillo is widely regarded as one of the foremost sherry producers in Andalusia. In one devoted cellar, the historic winery produces several excellent vinegars of Protected Denomination of Origin (Vinagre de Jerez). Their sherries’ vibrant deep amber colours indicate the slow unhurried ageing in oak casks in dark cellars. This ageing method involves a constant cycle of blending which gives the finished vinegar a complex aroma and long-lasting nutty flavour.

This Moscatel Vinegar is made with the base of Manzanilla sherry vinegar and is aged with Moscatel wine for a minimum of seven years in barrel. It has a bright, clear amber colour and offers an exciting array of flavours. It accompanies salads and dressed dishes containing fruits well. Its golden colour adds brightness to dishes and its slightly sweet flavour combined give a somewhat subtle yet elegant acidity.

Tasting Notes

Intense and sharp on the nose. However, a syrupy, smooth and well-balanced taste reflecting Muscat wine’s characteristics.
