This single-varietal and intense extra virgin olive oil is made from Don Carlo olives. Its bold flavour has acquired accolades from the world’s most acclaimed competitions.

 Morgenster Estate was the first farm in South Africa to plant this unique olive cultivar and still to date holds the propagation rights. 

About Morgenster

The Morgenster estate nestles in the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains, in the Western Cape, South Africa. When Giulio Bertrand settled here, he quickly realised that the climate was perfect for olive growing, so he imported trees from Italy and set to work planting the groves to make his now internationally-acclaimed oil. 

This oil is considered to be one of the best in the world by the well-know guide, Flos Olei, where it has consistently gained 98 points since 2012. This year it was awarded 99 (out of a possible 100).
