Morgenster Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Morgenster estate nestles in the foothills of the Helderberg Mountains, in the Western Cape, South Africa. When Giulio Bertrand settled here, he quickly realised that the climate was perfect for olive growing, so he imported trees from Italy and set to work planting the groves to make his now internationally-acclaimed oil. 

This oil is considered to be one of the best in the world by the well-know guide, Flos Olei, where it has consistently gained 98 points since 2012.

2025 Harvest Tasting Notes:

This year continues the Western Cape’s reputation of a strong, herbal character. We noted aromas of fresh red apple which continue into the taste and develop into pine wood, rocket, and plum skin leading to a savoury, long-lasting bitterness. Drizzle over grilled pork chops or over a rustic minestrone.
