Ravida Extra Virgin Olive Oil
The Ravida family's roots date back to the 14th Century in the West-Sicilian town of Trapani. Today, they still cultivate their olive trees, vines and lemon trees here, among the wild open spaces of the beautiful Sicilian macchia, full of aromatic herbs and ancient wild olive trees. Their classic blend is a mix of Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara del Belice olives, used at different quantities each year in order to obtain the best-tasting oil.
Ravida's distinctive and vibrant aroma of green tomatoes and fresh woody herbs is continued on the palate, with some notes of bitter banana skin, fresh hay and a creamier background of toasted almonds. The oil has a satisfying finish of almond skins and bitter herbs, along with a good kick of black pepper.
