Hafez Nader writes: “Quite simply I wanted to share the Mediterranean food I grew up with. It began with olive oil. I pressed olives from an ancient grove in south Lebanon and brought the olive oil over to England. We consumed it long before the next season. It was wonderful to have this rich, tasty, wholesome oil at our table and to share with family and friends. Now that I had my olive oil I wanted more traditional preserved foods. They had to be authentic, fresh, and in season, capturing the full flavours and preserved naturally: the best of Lebanon. Mymoune was the obvious choice. A small family run business high in the mountains producing home made preserved fruits and flower waters of excellent quality and no compromise. I love the wonderful food and wine of my childhood and aim to bring the best of Lebanon to the UK. And before we knew it we were in business.”
