Growing out of a traditional balsamic vinegar producing family firm, Casa Rinaldi, the food company Alis is responsible not only for producing foods from locally sourced suppliers, but also, as agents, trading products under the labels of other producers. Thus we have the Gold Label balsamic under their label, but also from them we have the older, more sophisticated Guiseppe Giusti balsamic. Alis were one of the first commercial agents to introduce balsamic vinegar to the UK, exhibiting at the IFE at Olympia in 1987, where there were probably more stands exhibiting raspberry vinegar than there were stands exhibiting balsamic vinegar.
